Today, the actress and former cover girl is living at Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above who left). Ann Turkel, who was engaged to Richard Harris for eight years prior to the divorce twenty years ago, is in a constant struggle to reconcile the demise of Richard Harris. Born into a Jewish middle-class household and grew up within Manhattan, Turkel had, by age 16, studied in the company of Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Within a week editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her first Vogue cover in collaboration with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among America's most popular models. She was featured on the covers of major magazines including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and many others. Ann modeled successfully for cosmetic companies such as Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe within two years.
